Job summary

E80 Group, a leading intralogistics solutions provider, invites an experienced Project Manager to join the PM department in Chicago. You will oversee automation projects from contract through final commissioning at customer sites, coordinating software, controls, electrical, and mechanical teams.

Responsibilities include defining schedules, budgets, risk plans, and stakeholder communications, while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Travelup to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project management experience in industrial automation, robotics, material handling systems, warehouse automation, manufacturing, or logistics.
• BA or master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of ERP, BI tools, and project management software.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams including software, controls, electrical, mechanical, and automation engineers.
• Experience overseeing commissioning, FAT/SAT, and customer handover activities.
• Familiarity with automation technologies, PLCs, HMI/SCADA, industrial networks, and WMS.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills; customer management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex automation projects from contract through commissioning and acceptance.
• Serve as primary customer-facing representative, managing expectations, risks, and communications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across software, controls, electrical, mechanical, installation, and commissioning.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and performance metrics.
• Oversee integration of robotics, conveyors, AS/RS, AMRs, WMS, and production automation.
• Manage scope, changes, and cost impacts with stakeholders to drive resolution.
• Lead FAT, SAT, testing, and final system validation.
• Provide regular status updates and executive reporting on project financials.
