Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant project procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Direct experience in industrial automation, robotics, material handling, system integration, or related technical environment.
• Experience with project BOMs, supplier quotations, lead times, custom equipment, subcontractors, and installation services.
• Strong supplier evaluation, negotiation, expediting, issue-resolution, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and supplier-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Review project BOMs, technical requirements, and schedules with engineering and project teams.
• Identify missing requirements and long-lead, custom, high-risk, or project-critical materials.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for robotics, conveyors, controls, electrical components, sensors, vision/safety systems, fabricated parts, installation services, and related equipment.
• Evaluate quotations for technical fit, quality, cost, lead time, responsiveness, and risk.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, delivery commitments, commercial terms, and recovery options.
• Prepare purchase request packages and track supplier commitments, pending orders, and at-risk items.
• Proactively address delays through expediting, alternate sourcing, partial shipments, replacements, or engineering changes.
• Build relationships with domestic and international suppliers and coordinate supply issues independently.
• Preferred: procurement experience with automation/material-handling system integrators, robotics integrators, or industrial equipment manufacturers.
• Preferred: familiarity with conveyors, robotics, controls, sensors, vision systems, grippers, safety systems, and fabricated parts.
• Preferred: experience with supply plans, long-lead trackers, supplier readiness reports, or project supply hot lists.
• Preferred: experience supporting installation, commissioning, or customer-site project execution.
• Preferred: hands-on robotics integration or engineering experience is a strong plus.
