Job summary

The George E. Booth Co. in Lebanon, Indiana is seeking a full-time Instrumentation and Controls Technician to maintain and calibrate process instruments that control flow, level, pressure, and temperature.

You will work with PLCs, DCS, analyzers, and valves, performing loop checks and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has a technical certificate/assoc. degree or 4–5 years’ relevant experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with industrial

Qualifications

• A technical certificate or associate degree received from trade school or four to five years of work experience in a similar technical capacity.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective calibration of process instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated instrumentation systems including PLCs, DCS, analyzers, and control valves.
• Maintain calibration records and documentation by regulatory and company standards.
• Conduct loop checks and verify system integration with automation systems.
• Assist with the commissioning of new instruments and systems.
• Diagnose and repair instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Work from P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and operations staff for system reliability and performance.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs.
• All other duties as assigned
