Advantage Technical in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, troubleshoot, and support industrial automation and control systems at customer sites.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 2+ years in automation, PLCs/DCS experience, willing to travel up to 50%, and a focus on customer service and documentation. Salary range $80,000-$90,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience supporting industrial automation, process control, or control systems.
• 2+ years of experience with PLCs, DCS systems, industrial networking, or system integration.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to customer and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission, and support industrial automation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, networking, instrumentation, and system integration issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and system optimizations.
• Support customer operations through onsite and remote technical assistance.
• Complete engineering documentation, reports, and project deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project standards.
• Provide after-hours support when required.
