Job summary

Broetje Automation-USA in Savannah, GA seeks a Startup Engineer to join our industrial automation team. The role focuses on electrical and controls engineering for new equipment, with travel to customer sites and hands-on problem solving.

You will work as part of a cross-functional team, applying knowledge of PLCs, motion control, sensors, and electromechanical devices. A BS in relevant engineering or equivalent experience is required, with willingness to travel up to 50% and to work 12-hour

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and controls engineering expertise for new equipment and systems.
• Internal subject matter expert in control systems (Siemens PLC, HMI, motion control, sensors) and system integration.
• Apply knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programming.
• Travel to customer sites for machine commissioning and troubleshooting; maintain logs of duties performed.
