Job summary

Broetje Automation-USA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support installation, commissioning and service at customer sites, including travel to Charleston, SC and Kinston, NC. The role emphasizes electrical and controls engineering in a manufacturing automation environment, with focus on Siemens PLCs, HMI, and motion control.

Candidates should have a BS in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science, 3+ years in industrial automation, and willingness to travel 50%+.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering preferred or BS in Computer Science or related with industrial robotics or machine tools
3+ years of experience in industrial automation or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Provide electrical and controls engineering expertise for new equipment and systems
Serve as internal SME in control systems (Siemens PLC, HMI, motion control), sensing and electro-mechanical devices
Apply knowledge of electronics, circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programming
Travel to customer sites for commissioning and troubleshooting
Maintain logs and written records of duties performed
