Job summary

Niterra North America, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to advance manufacturing capabilities by designing, testing, and debugging PLC and HMI logic. The role includes integrating sensors and vision systems, leading Kaizen improvements, and providing technical support for maintenance to enhance KPI performance.

You will use AutoCAD and 3D printing to develop prototypes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage automation projects from concept through execution in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or 5+ years related engineering experience; HS diploma acceptable with experience.
• Extensive experience with PLC and HMI systems; programming and maintenance.
• Knowledge of sensors and vision systems in automation.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and control diagrams.
• Familiarity with SPC principles and data analysis.
• Demonstrated capability in project management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug PLC and HMI logic for automated equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC-controlled machinery issues across components.
• Integrate sensors and vision systems into existing PLC-controlled equipment.
• Provide advanced maintenance support to production lines and engineers.
• Lead cross-functional automation projects and Kaizen initiatives.
• Document repairs, modifications, and cost-saving outcomes.
