Job summary

Broetje Automation-USA is seeking a Startup Engineer to provide electrical and controls expertise for new equipment and system introductions. You will act as the SME for Siemens PLCs, HMIs, motion control, sensors, and electromechanical devices while supporting system integration.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial automation, strong mechanical aptitude, and willingness to travel to customer sites, primarily in the southeastern US.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics or related field or equivalent experience in industrial robotics or machine tools.
3+ years in industrial automation or similar field; strong mechanical aptitude.
Hands-on experience in electrical/electronic design, controls and system integration.

Responsibilities

Provide electrical and controls engineering support for new equipment and systems.
Act as SME in control systems (Siemens PLC, HMI, motion control) and sensors.
Travel to customer sites for commissioning and troubleshooting; maintain logs of duties performed.
