Job summary

Shaw Industries in Bainbridge, GA is seeking an Automation Engineer to advance manufacturing processes, lead improvement initiatives, and support capital projects across a plant that values safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize automation solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive performance through data analytics and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 1 year of automation engineering experience.
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens).
Experience with HMI systems and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

Be the subject matter expert for equipment and manufacturing processes within assigned departments.
Support maintenance technicians and process engineers in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Lead efforts to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and process performance.
Partner with production teams to identify and implement safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
