Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. seeks an Electronic & Automation Technician to install, troubleshoot, and improve electronic and automated systems in Cayey, Puerto Rico.

You will support PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control panels, perform preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement through automation. The role requires a technician with strong problem-solving abilities, PLC knowledge, and the ability to read schematics, with safety and documentation as priorities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial electronics or automation (experience level can be adjusted).
• Knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electronic equipment and automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control panels.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and automation-related issues in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Program, modify, and debug PLCs and other automation controls.
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new system installations.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams on projects and problem-solving.
