Goddard Technologies, Inc. in Wilmington, Massachusetts is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer focused on industrial automation and test. You will design control panels, select components, develop test plans, and support integration across IT and manufacturing.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware and software development, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Travel is possible as needed to support projects and customers.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Low-voltage control systems and power up to 480 VAC.
• Test fixture design and hardware test engineering.
• Motors and controls: servo/stepper/BLDC drives, encoders, motion controllers.
• PLC and HMI programming with Siemens, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, or equivalent platforms and protocols.
• Electrical design software: EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical.
• PCB design for custom electronics (Altium, KiCAD) and power conditioning.
• ECO/PLM workflows for design change management.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial control and power panels end-to-end: schematics, one-line diagrams, BOMs and drawings.
• Select and size components: breakers, contactors, transformers, drives, wiring.
• Design custom harnessing and interconnection cabling for integrated systems.
• Develop test plans, fixtures, and procedures to validate hardware performance and safety.
• Read and debug schematics and control architectures across sensors to HMIs.
• Configure, test, and debug PLC/HMI software and network comms for SCADA.
• Support panel vendors, manufacturing, sales, service, and purchasing teams.
• Document designs for field service and apply ECO workflows in PLM.
