Job summary

Dolphin, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Industrial Automation and Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing machinery.

You should have strong experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, ABB IRC5 six-axis robots, and VFDs. Responsibilities include reading electrical, mechanical and hydraulic prints, implementing control changes, supporting startup of new machines, and coaching junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree or certificate in Engineering or trade school plus 5 years experience in Industrial Robotics and/or Automated Control systems; or equivalent.
• Experience designing, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming and wiring HMI and control networks.
• Industrial electrical hands-on experience including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic prints and schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control issues on production machines; advise on mechanical repairs.
• Develop and install changes to machine control systems to improve performance.
• Assist in setup and startup of new machines and provide system support for automation lines.
• Train and mentor junior technicians; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
