Job summary

Pacific Seafood in Kodiak Processing seeks an Automation/Industrial Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems, PLCs, and SCADA/HMI setups. You will collaborate with automation engineers on process improvements and work with electricians on higher-voltage systems.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, familiarity with OSHA safety, strong communication, and the ability to work in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and various technical apps.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Some background in Electrical theory, Electronics, or related field.
• Ability to safely work in industrial environments.
• Must be self-driven and proactive with good task prioritization.
• Willingness to travel as needed; travel minimized when possible.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical controls wiring and 0-24 V systems.
• Work with 4-20mA loops, 0-10VDC circuits, sensors, encoders, etc.
• Operate and troubleshoot PLCs and related devices; Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Innova DCS.
• Maintain and program SCADA/HMI systems for process monitoring.
• Collaborate with automation engineers on improvements and deployment of HMIs/SCADA.
• Direct electricians on automation systems with higher voltages.
• Assist in process improvement and task management for reliability.
