Job summary
Corvid Technologies is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Corvid team in Langtree, NC. The role encompasses design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical control systems and automation from concept through panel layout, PLC/HMI integration, testing, and site commissioning.
Ideal candidates will work across prototyping, testing, and production stages, with opportunities for technical and program leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or similar STEM field.
- 3+ years in industrial automation, electrical design, and control systems engineering.
- Knowledge of electrical standards (NEC, UL 508A, NFPA 70E/79).
- Experience with MCCs, VFDs, sensors, and safety circuits.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical control panels and wiring diagrams per NFPA/UL/NEC standards.
- Formulate control schemes including closed-loop control and safety interlocks.
- Create CAD drawing packages: line diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs.
- Perform electrical sizing calculations for power, protection, cable sizing, SCCR.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Integrate VFDs, servo drives, motion controllers, and robotics.
- Set up industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
- Provide expertise on electronic systems and system integration.
