Job summary

Dürr Systems, LLC in Michigan seeks a capable engineer to design and commission PLC, HMI, and robot controller software. You will work closely with project managers and engineering staff to meet client needs and deliver documentation.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics, 2+ years’ experience, and familiarity with Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Siemens, .NET, and SAP. Significant travel and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotic Technology or similar is required.

Responsibilities

Create and/or commission software for programmable logic controller (PLC).
Create and/or commission software for human-machine interface (HMI).
Create and/or commission software for robot controller.
Communicate effectively with other project team members, including project manager and the engineering team staff.
Communicate effectively with customer as required.
Assist in the development of written information as required for operating manuals and other internal/external documentation.
Adherence to project schedule.
Work as part of a cross functional team.
Prepare and submit site status reports.
Travel approximately 90%. This is a road warrior position with high travel to domestic and international locations.
Willing and able to work weekends and holidays when required.
