ProgressiveHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking an Industrial Athletic Trainer to join our team at an advanced manufacturing facility. The role focuses on proactive injury prevention, PDA, ergonomic support, and occupational health initiatives to improve workforce safety.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, valid licensure, CPR/AED, and CAOHC certification or plan to obtain post-hire. Strong communication and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training.
• State licensure, certification, and registration in good standing or ability to obtain.
• CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain before starting employment; provide proof of current certification.
• CAOHC certification required or the ability to obtain after hire, with costs covered by the company.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the shift.
• High level of professionalism in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment; maintain confidentiality.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive injury prevention, injury care, assessment, and medical triage per OSHA standards, including ergonomic education and escalation when needed.
• Provide ergonomic assessments, physical demands analysis, and support by understanding site operations to prevent musculoskeletal conditions.
• Conduct pre-employment hearing screenings with accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with medical and safety staff to support prevention, restrictions management, and occupational health initiatives.
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation and provide feedback to the industrial athlete and client for health improvements.
• Generate reports with key metrics for leadership, client partners, and operations management.
