This role involves analyzing operational data, identifying performance improvement opportunities, and implementing technology systems to meet business objectives. You will support material handling systems and provide engineering analysis for field operations. Uses fundamental engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to analyze operational data/methods, identify performance improvement opportunities, and/or implement technology systems that meet business objectives.
Detailed summary in the areas of: AUTOMATION & SYSTEMS: Supports specific material handling sortation systems, design specifications, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system integration for manual sort facilities. Analyzes vendor supplied equipment and supports project installation and testing. INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER & PROCESS: Provides analysis, reporting tools, and engineering support for FedEx Ground field operations to effectively control and/or justify operational costs.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical or quantitative degree (e.g. mathematics) required.
Disciplines may be needed in the areas of:
INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER & PROCESS: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.

Develop customer-specific operational plans to meet customer transit and cost expectations. Identify opportunities for service improvements. Support early package visibility initiatives and technologies. Advanced Power BI skills a plus. Develop data analytic tools to support operational improvement initiatives. Support Sales teams by quantifying the competitive advantages of the FedEx surface network. Provide customer-specific peak planning support for e-commerce shippers.
This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
U.S. Pay Range: $3,891.60/month - $13,571.58/month Colorado Pay Range: $4,107.80/month - $13,006.09/month New York Pay Range: $4,107.80/month - $13,571.58/month New York City Pay Range: $5,188.80/month - $13,571.58/month.
