Job summary

The Wine Group is seeking a skilled Refrigeration/HVAC Technician to operate, maintain, and optimize ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC components used for precise wine temperature control. You will diagnose complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety compliance across PSM/RMP and OSHA/EPA standards.

Role includes potential supervisory duties, documentation duties, and coordination with vendors and cross-functional teams to sustain production reliability and energy

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5+ years hands-on experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems in food/beverage environments.
• Advanced knowledge of ammonia refrigeration principles, components, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with HVAC systems including chillers, air handling, and related utilities.
• Strong understanding of PSM/RMP programs and RETA standards; ammonia operator certs preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training strongly preferred; associate degree preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; CMMS familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ammonia refrigeration and HVAC systems following PSM/RMP requirements.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues in ammonia and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, leak detection, and safety procedure adherence.
• Document logs, work orders, and regulatory compliance reports accurately.
• Provide leadership and mentorship when acting in a supervisory capacity.
