Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Industrial Refrigeration/Chiller Mechanic in Tucson, AZ to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ammonia (R-717) and CO2 (R-744) refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with screw compressors and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial refrigeration.
• Proven ammonia (R-717) refrigeration expertise.
• Experience with chillers and CO2 (R-744) systems.
• Strong screw compressor maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• RETA certification and OSHA PSM knowledge.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on ammonia/CO2 systems.
• Service and troubleshoot rotary screw compressors and related components.
• Diagnose system performance and optimize efficiency.
• Follow lockout/tagout and line-break procedures for safety.
• Maintain logs and documentation for PSM/RMP compliance.
• Read P&IDs and electrical schematics; monitor PLC-based controls.
• Respond to after-hours calls and support on-call rotations.
• Mentor junior technicians.
