Job summary

Brehob Corporation in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Air Compressor Technician to perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on a variety of compressors and dryers. The role requires safe operation and strong customer service while servicing clients at different sites.

You will install equipment as needed and work with a team or independently to complete tasks promptly. Some travel up to 5% is expected, with per diem/hotels covered as necessary.

Qualifications

• At least one year of air compressor experience.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Willing to travel up to 5% and handle overnight stays if needed.
• Able to read and understand manuals and parts books.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on piston and rotary screw compressors, multi-brand units, and dryers.
• Install new equipment when applicable.
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain customer relations.
• Work independently or with a team to complete tasks on time.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, trouble shooting, and preventative maintenance on piston and rotary screw air compressors, multi brand compressors (oil flooded and oil free), and refrigerated/desiccant air dryers.
• Install new equipment when applicable
• Comply with all safety procedures and precautions
• Ensure excellent customer service no matter the location; maintain positive customer relations while resolving concerns
• Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Job Requirements

• Maintain low incident MVR and valid driver’s license
• At least one year of air compressor experience
• Must be ok with some out of town work, up to 5% of the time. Per diem and hotel stay covered in the event of overnight stay.
• Experience driving flatbeds, pick up trucks, and pull behind trailers
• Industrial maintenance a plus
• Experience in air compressors a plus but not required
• Read and comprehend written technical information (manuals or parts’ books)
• Excellent work ethic and self-motivated
• Excellent track record with attendance
• Proficient in problem solving, process analysis, and trouble shooting in high pressure situations
• Able to walk, crouch, sit, stand and reach
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to carry up to 50 lbs
• Able to climb ladders, use lifts, and work elevated when required
