The City of Overland Park has a full-time Indoor Lifeguard position available at Matt Ross Community Center in the Parks and Recreation Department.
Responsibilities include observing and protecting pool patrons, enforcing safety rules, guarding swimmers, and attending mandatory training sessions. Salary range starts at $15.25 per hour with advancement through Lifeguard I–III levels. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.

Completion and certification through Starguard in the Starguard Lifeguard Course through the City of Overland Park.
Lifeguard I:
Basic education equaling 8th grade and a minimum of 15 years of age. Completion and certification through Starguard in the Starguard Lifeguard Course through the City of Overland Park.
Lifeguard II:
Basic education equaling 9th grade and a minimum of 16 years of age. Completion and certification through Starguard in the Starguard Lifeguard Course through the City of Overland Park. One year of lifeguarding experience in Overland Park.
Lifeguard III:
Basic education equaling 10th grade and a minimum of 17 years of age. Completion and certification through Starguard in the Starguard Lifeguard Course through the City of Overland Park. Two or more years of lifeguarding experience in Overland Park
No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and essential functions test.
Salary Range: $15.25 per hour
