Responsibilities

• A faculty advisor acts as a liaison between the school administration and the club, providing guidance to student leaders and members.
• Advisors work with student leaders to plan events and create opportunities for inclusion.
• Advisors work with program staff to communicate information and support and build lasting relationships.
• Advisors will supervise all club-related events and meetings.
• Assist in instructing students in mallet percussion technique, including keyboard layout, stroke development, four-mallet technique (as appropriate), and musical accuracy to support individual and ensemble performance.
• Support rehearsals outside the school day by teaching and reinforcing mallet parts, providing targeted feedback, and ensuring consistency in timing, rhythm, and musical expression.
• Collaborate with the Drumline Director and instructional staff to align mallet performance with the overall show design, including coordination with battery percussion, front ensemble, and visual elements.
• Assist with performance and competition preparation, including setup and maintenance of mallet instruments and equipment, student supervision, and reinforcement of expectations for discipline, teamwork, and safety.
• Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
• Other duties as assigned by Administration.

Indoor Drumline is a club that is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students at Marple Newtown and offers the students a multitude of activities as well as an opportunity to socialize and make lasting friendships.

• 1-2 years experience - $438.00
• 3, 4, 5 years experience - $475.00
