Zekai is seeking experienced Indonesian Linguistic Experts for a 100% remote contract role to evaluate how an AI language model performs on Indonesian tasks and to curate high-quality Indonesian linguistic data for training and improving the model’s understanding and generation capabilities.

You will annotate Indonesian text, edit content for linguistic correctness, and provide detailed feedback to guide ongoing model training.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Indonesian with strong grammar and style.
• Experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in Indonesian.
• Understanding of linguistic nuances and regional language variations.
• Interest in AI and LLM-driven language technologies is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot subtle phrasing issues.

our partner is seeking experienced Indonesian Linguistic Experts to join a cutting-edge AI research project in partnership with a leading research lab. This role centers on evaluating how effectively a large language model (LLM) performs in Indonesian-language tasks and on curating high-quality Indonesian linguistic data to train and improve the model's understanding and generation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the quality and accuracy of LLM-generated Indonesian text across various use cases (e.g., translation, summarization, dialogue, grammar correction).

• Edit, refine, or rewrite Indonesian content to meet linguistic and cultural standards.

• Annotate Indonesian text for grammatical, syntactic, and semantic features.

• Identify model errors and language gaps, and collaborate with AI researchers to improve LLM performance.

• Provide detailed linguistic feedback and analysis to guide ongoing model training efforts.

You're a strong fit if you have:

• Native or near-native fluency in Indonesian, with excellent command over grammar, syntax, and stylistics.

• Professional experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in Indonesian.

• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances, regional variations, and context-appropriate usage.

• Interest in AI and LLM-driven language technologies (preferred but not required).

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors or unnatural phrasing.

• Clear communication skills and experience working in distributed, remote teams.
