Varda Space Industries seeks a Director of Indo-Pacific Defense Strategy & Business Development to lead the company’s presence across the Indo-Pacific theater from Honolulu. You will interface with USPACOM, US government leads, and allied nations to drive defense programs such as GDS and GDA, guiding proposals and international engagements.

The role requires 5+ years in defense strategy, DoD aerospace experience, and willingness to relocate to Honolulu with TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, international relations, or a related field.
• 5+ years in DoD aerospace/defense tech or international strategic development.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Honolulu, HI.
• Active TS/SCI clearance, or fast-track potential.
• U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR).
• Experience closing defense solicitations with international partners.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Aufgaben

• Command Engagement: serve as primary contact for Honolulu-based commands and align capabilities with theater requirements.
• Allied Nation Defense Sales: identify and close business with Pacific Rim partners on missile defense testing and hypersonic research.
• Market Architecture: engage DoD and ministers to integrate testbeds into regional exercises and track budgets.
• Proposal & Capture Leadership: lead domestic and international solicitations from white papers to final proposals.
• Technical Advocacy: translate INDOPACOM requirements into theater-specific proposals.
• Stakeholder Relations: build pipelines with USG leads and international partners.
• Theater Visibility: represent Varda at LANPAC, TechNet Indo-Pacific and defense symposiums; policy discussions.
