Job summary

ADAPT Community Network in New York seeks an Individual Giving Manager to grow annual, mid-level, and major gift fundraising efforts. You will cultivate, solicit, steward, and retain donors while building a sustainable pipeline across leadership and volunteers.

You will collaborate with leadership, staff, and partners to maximize philanthropic revenue. The role focuses on annual giving, donor communications, and cross-team engagement, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit space.
• Experience in sales, relationship management, or related field.
• Experience supporting fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Raisers Edge, donor management systems, fundraising software, and email platforms.
• Knowledge of donor cultivation, stewardship, and moves management strategies.
• Experience utilizing prospect research and wealth screening tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret fundraising performance metrics.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Must maintain the strictest confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to represent ADAPT professionally with donors, volunteers, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of individual donors and prospects.
• Develop and implement annual giving strategies to increase donor acquisition, retention, and upgrade rates.
• Cultivate and steward donors through meetings, events, calls, personalized outreach, and engagement opportunities.
• Manage recurring giving and monthly donor programs.
• Create donor communications, including appeals, stewardship materials, newsletters, and impact reports.
• Collaborate on year-end campaigns, Giving Tuesday initiatives, and other fundraising appeals.
• Identify and qualify major gift prospects through prospect research and donor analytics.
• Maintain accurate donor records, engagement activity, and revenue tracking within donor management systems.
• Coordinate donor recognition efforts and stewardship events.
• Work closely with Marketing to develop donor-centered content and fundraising campaigns.
• Analyze individual giving performance and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Assist with volunteer fundraising committees and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
• Support special events and organizational fundraising initiatives as needed.

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Partnerships, the Individual Giving Manager will be a key member of the fundraising success of the Marketing and Development Department. This position, under the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships, will manage strategies and activities that support the growth of individual philanthropy at ADAPT Community Network. The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, stewarding, and retaining donors while building a sustainable pipeline of annual, recurring, mid-level, and major gift supporters. The role will work closely with leadership, program staff, and volunteers to strengthen donor engagement and increase philanthropic revenue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the Individual Giving Manager include, but are not limited to:

COMPENSATION: $80,000 Annually + Industry-Leading Benefits!
