Job summary

The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with tax software, and the ability to manage complex tax technology initiatives while supporting data accessibility and automation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training preferred.
• At least three years of experience in multi-state indirect tax and accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of indirect tax accounting practices advantageous.
• Understanding of end-to-end company retail sales, purchases, and fuel business models preferred.
• Familiarity with large data sets and data analysis beneficial.
• Experience with software projects or implementations valued.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for enhancements and production fixes.
• Liaise among business units, tech teams, support, and indirect tax departments.
• Gather information effectively for decisions.
• Prepare ROI submissions for new initiatives and discuss prioritization.
• Conduct functional and performance testing on systems.
• Manage large-scale tax projects and smaller enhancement efforts.
• Develop solutions to improve data quality and access for indirect tax users.
• Support automation of indirect tax processes.
• Design technical solutions to address process challenges.
• Train stakeholders on new or enhanced software functionalities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
