Job summary

Love's Travel Stops indirect tax team is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Audit Analyst for an advanced-level role focused on tax compliance, research, and process improvements, serving as a key resource during audits.

You will manage tax audits, perform reconciliations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, support tax system implementations, monitor legislative changes, and mentor junior staff in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax audits, including inquiries and documentation.
• Conduct in-depth reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax accuracy in business operations.

• Hard Skills: Expertise in tax compliance software (Avalara, Vertex, SRA, SAP).
• Soft Skills: Strong project management and leadership skills. Ability to handle high level reconciliation and audit responses.

Typical Physical Demands:

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
