Job summary

MHA Macintyre Hudson LLP is seeking a Graduate Tax Associate to join our Indirect Tax team. You’ll learn through hands-on training, work on VAT registrations, VAT returns, and cross-border tax matters, while gaining exposure to HMRC interactions and international compliance.

Start date is September 2027. The program includes mentorship, a structured training path, and study support for ATT Level 4 and CTA Level 7, with a strong emphasis on commercial awareness and client interaction.

Qualifications

• A 2:1 degree and at least 112 UCAS points from top three subjects (or equivalent).
• Studying towards ATT Level 4 and CTA Level 7.

Responsibilities

• Support VAT registrations and ongoing compliance for clients.
• Assist with preparation/review of VAT returns to meet filing requirements.
• Explain VAT implications of trading UK and international goods/services.
• Support HMRC VAT inspections, enquiries and compliance checks.
• Assist with import/export and customs tax matters for international trade.
