What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and file sales/use, property, fuel, franchise, and gross receipts tax returns
• Handle tax payments and regulatory reports on time
• Respond to tax notices and support audit documentation
• Maintain and improve internal tax procedures
• Work on journal entries, tax accruals, and data summaries
• Help with nexus studies and registrations for new jurisdictions
• Support cross-functional teams with tax-related data and insights
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the tax function

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 0–2 years of relevant tax or accounting experience

Knowledge of indirect tax concepts (sales/use, property, etc.) preferred

• Excel proficiency; experience with NetSuite, Avalara, or Vertex is a plus
• Organized and analytical with solid communication skills
• Eager to learn tax compliance in a regulated, multi-jurisdictional setting
• Comfortable in a hybrid work environment and ready to collaborate

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in industries like rail transportation, logistics, oil & gas, or manufacturing
• Exposure to Canadian GST/HST/PST filings
• Hands-on experience with regulatory filings, registrations, and licensing
