Job summary

Advantax is seeking an Accountant to support the personal property tax compliance cycle across multiple jurisdictions. You will handle asset data, prepare and file returns, and organize documentation for processing.

You will analyze large data sets in Excel, communicate with jurisdictions nationwide, and ensure accuracy while meeting filing deadlines. A business degree and 2+ years in accounting are required, with a hybrid work arrangement offered.

• Research and interpret tax laws to ensure compliance.
• Enter tax bills and maintain client records.

Salary Range: $67,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually

As an Accountant at Advantax

Your work will focus on the personal property tax compliance cycle. This involves:

• Handling and processing of vast amounts of asset data
• Preparing and filing personal property tax returns
• Organizing documentation needed to process returns
• Communicating with local state jurisdictions throughout the country.
• Comparing county assigned appraised values vs our proposed tax values for consulting opportunities
• You will be responsible for filing property tax returns and assisting with property tax payments.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience required
• Applicants must have a business-related degree

• Research and interpret tax laws to ensure all returns comply with state and local regulations
• Assist the data analyst team in finding and entering tax bills.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
