Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Manager, Indirect (Starlink), to drive procurement strategies across software, services and soft categories. You will negotiate contracts, manage supplier networks and coordinate with legal and engineering teams to ensure timely production support.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, supplier performance and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment aligned with SpaceX Starlink objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 9+ years engineering in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with MRP or ERP systems and managing BOMs, work orders and POs.
• Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL and PowerBI.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and learn new manufacturing processes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts and place purchase orders for indirect categories.
• Manage preferred supplier network for Starlink indirect procurement.
• Communicate clearly with vendors and senior leadership.
• Prepare contract documents with the legal department.
• Interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Create sourcing strategies for soft services, software and legal categories.
• Develop a preferred supplier network to minimize cost and maximize efficacy.
• Resolve complex problems with speed and efficiency.
• Review vendor capabilities and contract performance.
• Understand interrelationships between contracts and terms.
• Utilize negotiations to maximize value and savings while reducing risk.
