Job summary

Jobtailor in Marysville, OH is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing activities across MRO, office supplies, PPE, facilities management, and utilities. You will conduct market analysis, RFQs, negotiations, and contract initiation while building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders.

Job description

• Aid in sourcing activities for areas including MRO, office supplies, PPE, facilities management, landscaping, and utilities
• Support tactical procurement work and category projects
• Conduct market analysis, RFQ processes, negotiations, contract initiation, and contract management
• Develop relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders
• Help drive cost-saving initiatives and identify new savings or value-add opportunities
• Assist with contract renewals and increase Spend Under Management (SUM)
• Participate in demand management and collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement
• Analyze industry factors, financial impact, risk, and business decisions for assigned projects
• Determine total cost of ownership for procured products and services
• Create purchase orders, review and approve vendors, and reconcile purchase orders
• Manage leases and lease reporting in various systems
• Manage catalog vendors and assortment in Ariba
• Escalate internally when required and work autonomously

Requirements

• BS or BA in Procurement, Supply Chain, or another business-related field
• 2–3 years’ relevant procurement experience
• Business experience with one or more targeted products/services
• Negotiation skills
• Analytical thought process
• Ability to work cross-functionally as a team player
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Microsoft Office and GSuite familiarity is a plus
• Experience working within Indirect Procurement is desired
• Experience working for a Consumer Packaged Goods company is desired
• Limited travel as business needs dictate
