Job summary

ICCU in Alabama seeks a Loan Processor to handle dealer applications and funding of loans within policy guidelines. You will verify income, ensure contract accuracy, and file documents while maintaining confidentiality and professional communication with dealership staff.

The role requires strong math skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Word/Excel. Daily tasks include loan processing, record keeping, and collaboration with branches."

Responsibilities

• Prepare, Fund and merge loans.
• Perform employment and income verifications, ensure accuracy of loan contracts and make decisions within limits.
• File and organize all incoming and outgoing documents (Signature cards, applications, contracts).
• Maintain returned mail.
• Review stipulations on loans (Proof of Residency, Proof of Paid Collection, etc.).
• Assist in month-end balancing and report preparation.
• Participate in department and credit union projects related to indirect funder duties.
• Assist dealership personnel in completing loans with correct information.
• Communicate with dealership personnel to build relationships.
• Call and visit dealers to address issues and build trust.
• Review incoming contracts to verify information complies with checklist.
• Daily record keeping on incoming loans and allocations to branches/departments.
• Utilize Word and Excel to write proposals and develop department spreadsheets.
• Assist branch staff with member funding questions.
• Maintain continual education through Green Team University.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for processing applications from dealers and funding loans within the requirements of the loan policies established by the Credit Union. Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, Fund and merge loans.
• Perform employment verifications/income verifications, ensure accuracy of loan contracts and make decision within limits.
• File and organize all incoming and outgoing documents for example: Signature cards, applications, and contracts.
• Maintain returned mail
• Review received stipulations on loans, such as Proof of Residency, Proof of Paid Collection, etc.
• Assist in Month end balancing and report preparation.
• Participate in department and credit union projects that pertain to indirect funder duties.
• Assist dealership personnel in completing loans with correct and accurate information.
• Communicate and build relationships with dealership personnel.
• Communicate over the phone issues or concerns with dealers as well as visit face to face to build working relationships
• Review incoming contracts to verify required information is compliant with checklist.
• Daily record keeping on incoming loans and allocating loans to the appropriate branch or department
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel with the ability to write proposals and develop spreadsheets pertaining to department functions.
• Assisting branch team members with member questions about funding issues.
• Maintain continual education through Green Team University
• Other duties as assigned.

Self-motivated and takes steps to continually expand knowledge of financial industry. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.

Physical Requirements:

• Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
• Sit for extended periods of time.
• Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
• Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Reach keyboards.
• Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
