Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for an Indirect Buyer to be located in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on procuring indirect goods and services, optimizing supplier base, and driving cost improvements across the RAD organization.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years in indirect procurement, experience with SAP ERP and Ariba, and a proven ability to lead supplier projects with measurable impact. Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of three years of indirect procurement experience.
• SAP ERP experience in materials, planning, quality and purchasing modules.
• Ariba system and eMarketplace platforms familiarity is a plus.
• Track record of leading supplier projects with significant business impact.
• Medical Device program experience from development to launch is preferred.
• Strong problem solving, ability to work independently, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Support RAD Organization from end-to-end Sourcing-to-Pay with indirect purchasing.
• Assist supplier selection to ensure capable supplier base.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect materials/services.
• Generate RFQs to obtain best terms on behalf of RAD.
• Update and streamline quote-to-part receipt processes.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers; assist in negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance evaluations.
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define sourcing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Monitor inventory and delivery schedules; resolve procurement issues.
• Resolve Accounts Payable issues to ensure timely payments.
