The State of Nevada, Nevada State Public Defender, Ely Office, seeks an attorney to represent indigent clients in the Ely Township Municipal Court, Justice Court and Seventh Judicial District Court. Preference may be given to self-motivated candidates fluent in Spanish and proficient with Microsoft 360 and legal case management systems.

Qualifications

• Nevada Bar Membership required or eligible under Rule 49.9.
• Preference for candidates fluent in Spanish.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 360 and legal case management software.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients in custody or out-of-custody to assess cases.
• Review and analyze discovery materials and prepare defenses.
• Consult with clients, investigators, and staff; manage court appearances.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel and coordinate with the legal team.
