Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school and license to practice in Nevada or eligibility forLimited Practice Certification.
• Preference to candidates with recent litigation or government service experience.
• Working knowledge of civil and appellate procedure, evidence, and local court rules.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Nevada Department of Corrections and its current and former employees in federal and state courts.
• Draft legal briefs, perform legal research, and present oral arguments in trial courts.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to the Department and assist with contract approvals and public records compliance.
• Engage in activities ensuring transparency and compliance with state laws and department policies.
