Job description

Your Team Responsibilities

The Americas Wealth Indexed Investing Coverage team is responsible for driving adoption and deepening engagement of MSCI indexes across wealth management home offices, model portfolio providers, and other professional indexed investors. The team educates clients on the role MSCI indexes play within ETFs, Direct Index SMAs, and other index-linked solutions, while partnering across MSCI to identify and advance subscription and analytics opportunities.

This role will focus on expanding MSCI’s presence within the Western United States wealth segment and strengthening strategic relationships across investment, product, and due diligence functions.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Drive awareness, adoption, and commercial growth of MSCI indexes across ETFs, Direct Index SMAs, and other index-linked investment solutions within the wealth channel.

  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with CIOs, asset allocation committees, portfolio managers, due diligence teams, and product leaders at leading wealth management firms and model portfolio providers.

  • Educate clients on MSCI’s market capitalization, factor, thematic, ESG, and custom index capabilities, clearly articulating methodology, construction rules, and investment applications.

  • Partner with ETF sponsors and asset managers to support product positioning and home office engagement tied to MSCI-based strategies.

  • Support and influence the launch and expansion of Direct Index SMAs on UMA and advisory platforms.

  • Identify and originate opportunities to broaden MSCI’s footprint, referring subscription and analytics opportunities to appropriate coverage partners.

  • Respond to detailed client inquiries on index methodology, construction, performance characteristics, and implementation considerations.

  • Leverage data, analytics, and emerging AI-enabled tools to enhance client insights, improve coverage efficiency, and support more informed investment conversations.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel
  • Bachelor’s degree required; CFA, CAIA, or other advanced investment credential strongly preferred.

  • 8–12+ years of experience in financial services, with significant exposure to indexed products, ETFs, model portfolios, asset allocation, or wealth platform distribution.

  • Demonstrated success in client‑facing sales or relationship management roles within wealth management or asset management.

  • Established relationships with home office investment teams and model portfolio builders at leading wealth management organizations.

  • Strong understanding of index construction, benchmarking, asset allocation, portfolio attribution, and the practical uses of indexes in investment decision‑making.

  • Commercially driven with a consultative sales approach and a consistent record of achieving growth objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex methodology into clear, decision‑oriented messaging for senior audiences.

  • High degree of analytical rigor and comfort working with performance data and investment analytics.

  • Proficiency in leveraging AI-enabled tools and data platforms to improve productivity, generate insights, enhance client preparation, and support scalable coverage models.

  • Strong organizational discipline and the ability to operate independently within a high-performance team environment.
