Job summary

The S&P Dow Jones Indices US/Canada Index Management team seeks an Index Analyst to maintain a broad range of indices, apply methodologies, and present findings to index committees. You will analyze constituents, perform rebalances, and ensure accurate index data delivery to clients.

Responsibilities include collaborating with product management, client coverage, IT and production teams, advancing system capabilities, and managing multiple index projects to meet deadlines while upholding

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience with financial indices, equity analysis, research, or data analysis.
• Understanding of global financial markets and company fundamentals.
• Knowledge of index methodologies and corporate actions and their impact.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate across groups.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Python/SQL/VBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calculate S&P and Dow Jones indices and deliver real-time and end-of-day index data to clients.
• Apply index methodology to corporate actions and validate treatments.
• Perform company research to determine index composition and interpret financial data.
• Execute index rebalances by running models and communicating changes to clients.
• Present non-routine analyses to index committees.
• Manage and mentor relationships within the department and with other groups.
• Collaborate with technology and production teams to enhance systems.
• Lead multiple projects including requirements gathering, data compilation, and documentation.
• Update methodologies as needed in coordination with clients and staff.
