Job summary

Alvéole seeks local beekeepers to partner as Urban Beekeepers in the Los Angeles area. You will maintain client hives, install new hives, conduct inspections, harvest honey, and deliver products. Travel to client sites and engage with communities through workshops.

This 1099 contract offers flexible time commitments, independence, and a pathway to join a global beekeeping network while focusing on bee health and data collection.

Qualifications

• Hands-on beekeeping experience and knowledge of hive health and seasonal management.
• Ability to log visits and data using digital tools (training provided).
• Strong organizational skills for record-keeping and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain honey bee hives at client sites on a three-week service cycle.
• Install new hives and related equipment at client locations.
• Conduct routine hive inspections and maintenance.
• Harvest honey and manage final delivery from hives.
• Collect samples and field data to monitor hive health and environment.
• Complete accurate digital records and service reports using Alvéole’s tools.
