Job summary

BuddiesHR in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time Retail Scan Associate to perform in-store data collection weekly across grocery, convenience, and other retailers. This role offers independence, flexible hours, and consistent project work.

You will use a mobile app to scan barcodes, report to deadlines, and may take on Custom Projects adding 1–2 hours per week. Applicants must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, Wi‑Fi access, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance.
• Able to stand for long periods and access products.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and reach up to 6 feet.
• Able to perform repetitive movements.
• Attention to detail and able to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-store data collections weekly at assigned local retailers (52 weeks/year).
• Use a downloadable mobile app to scan barcodes in-store.
• Provide quantity for about 45% of scanned products.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store weekly.
• Contribute to Custom Projects adding 1–2 hours of work per store as needed.
