Job summary

Crosswalk Health is hiring Respiratory Therapists (CRT/RRT) and Pulmonary Function Technologists (CPFT/RPFT) to perform simple spirometry testing at primary care clinics in the Charlotte area. Positions begin January 2027, with onboarding in late 2026.

You will work in a flexible, independent contractor role with a supportive team. Responsibilities include in-clinic spirometry, patient education, albuterol administration when indicated, uploading results for pulmonologist review, and maintaining

Qualifications

Current CRT, RRT, CPFT, or RPFT credential.
Experience performing bedside spirometry or pulmonary function testing.
Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and safe albuterol administration.
Comfortable commuting to clinics throughout a region.
Available to work a flexible schedule.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Visit local primary care clinics to perform pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry testing.
Educate and coach patients to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
Safely administer albuterol when indicated and monitor patients throughout testing.
Grade and upload completed testing for pulmonologist review.
Maintain testing equipment and follow quality and safety standards.
Build trusted relationships with patients and clinic teams while representing Crosswalk Health with professionalism and compassion.
