Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Research Assistant II+ to perform routine and specialized laboratory experiments, prepare specimens, and analyze data under minimal supervision. You will use specialized equipment and may contribute to experimental design.

Responsibilities include choosing techniques, evaluating results, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining records with statistical analyses. A Bachelor's with 3+ years or a Master's with 1+ year are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or Master's of Science with 1+ year of relevant work experience.
• At least one year of relevant research experience.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and contribute to team efforts.

Responsibilities

• Decide which techniques are appropriate for specific experiments and perform them with minimal supervision.
• Critically evaluate results and provide summaries or interpretation to the PI.
• Coach RA I/II, interns, and Co Ops on basic lab techniques.
• Maintain records, graph data, and perform statistical analyses.
