Job summary

Canopy Mental Health & Consulting is seeking a Psychiatric Prescriber (MD/DO, PA, or APRN) to work as a 1099 contractor with flexibility in in-office and telemedicine work. The role supports outpatient care, with collaboration from outpatient psychotherapists and a Clinical Manager as the clinical contact.

The position emphasizes autonomy, with compensation based on revenue and MinnesotaCare Provider Tax deductions, but no benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Minnesota to independently prescribe (MD/DO/CNP/PA etc.)
• Valid DEA certificate
• Experience with marginalized communities and BIPOC clients
• Experience with Procentive EHR
• Paperless service setting
• Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients via intakes and medical histories
• Diagnose clients based on assessment results
• Prescribe and administer treatments and medications
• Develop and adjust treatment plans
• Take consultation calls for emergencies as needed
• Collaborate with client care teams
• Complete billing and clinical documentation accurately
• Comply with HIPAA and all relevant laws and ethics
