Job summary

The role includes crisis intervention, case consultations, documentation in the EHR, and ongoing professional development to stay current in psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work preferred.
• Two years of experience in private practice setting preferred; substance use experience preferred.
• Must be independently licensed and in good standing as an LPC or LCSW. Provisionally licensed associates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy based on expertise and client needs.
• Conduct intake evaluations, including patient history, mental status exams, and diagnostic assessments.
• Formulate accurate psychiatric diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments for acute mental health issues.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.
• Refer patients to higher levels of care or additional services as needed.

Education

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work

Licensed as LPC or LCSW
