Job summary

WRTP | BIG STEP is seeking experienced instructors to deliver pre-apprenticeship training across Northern Wisconsin. This independent contractor role includes project-based engagements with defined timelines and deliverables in various facilities.

Qualifications include conditioning in construction trades or workforce training, OSHA/CPR Train-the-Trainer certification, and strong instructional abilities. Compensation is paid per session, with mileage reimbursement possible for approved travel.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in construction trades or workforce training.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with safety standards.
• Strong instructional and facilitation skills.
• To teach OSHA or CPR a valid Train-the-Trainer certification must be held: OSHA, CPR.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-apprenticeship instruction, including MC3 curriculum, OSHA safety training, CPR, and construction math.
• Provide hands-on construction skills training and tool identification.
• Facilitate high-quality instructional sessions aligned with program goals.
• Ensure participant safety and adherence to training standards.
• Represent WRTP | BIG STEP professionally in training environments.
• Submit invoices based on instructional sessions delivered.
