Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar in the Carpenter Spectroscopy Group within the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Administration. Qualifications

PhD in chemistry, physics, biomedical engineering, or related discipline.
Past postdoctoral experience in spectroscopy and imaging of molecular systems with publications.
Experience with operation and alignment of laser instrumentation; programming in MATLAB/Python/LabVIEW.
Strong written and oral communication, mentoring, problem-solving, and learning new techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform independent experiments in single-molecule and single-particle spectroscopy.
Establish and benchmark single-particle microscopy and spectroscopy setups.
Prepare samples and protocols for experiments; calibrate optical systems.
Contribute to lab development, assist with funding proposals, and mentor graduate/undergraduate students.
