Job summary

The Comforted Kitty in Austin, TX is seeking reliable, responsible pet lovers to provide in-home dog or cat sitting visits and dog walking while clients are away. This is a flexible, part-time independent contractor role where you set your availability and service area, and we match you with clients.

You’ll feed, water, clean up waste, provide playtime and updates with photos through our app, follow care instructions, and administer medication when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experienced with dog or cat care.
• Confident handling dogs of all sizes.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Strong written communication.
• Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes.
• Smartphone with reliable internet & camera.
• Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids).
• Holiday & weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home dog or cat sitting visits and dog walking.
• Feed and refresh water for pets.
• Clean up waste and provide playtime/companionship.
• Send visit updates and photos via our app.
• Follow each client’s care instructions and medication needs.
