Job summary
The Comforted Kitty is seeking a reliable, caring cat sitter in the Austin, TX area. This part-time, independent contractor role involves visiting clients’ homes to feed, clean, monitor, and provide companionship to cats while their humans are away.
You’ll receive detailed care instructions, send updates and photos via the app, and work a flexible schedule including weekends. Pay is per visit, with higher rates for longer visits and overnight care, and 100% of tips go to you.
Qualifications
- Experienced with cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Strong written communication.
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes.
- Smartphone with reliable internet & camera.
- Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids).
- Holiday & weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Feeding cats and refreshing water.
- Cleaning litter boxes.
- Giving playtime, affection, or companionship based on each cat’s personality.
- Sending visit updates and photos through our app.
- Following each client’s detailed care instructions.
- Bringing in mail or packages.
- Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested.
- Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level.
