Job summary

Duke Orthopaedics Urgent Care in Garner, NC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care with autonomy, supported by physicians. The role covers open seven days a week with rotating day/evening/holiday shifts across Duke Orthopaedics Urgent Care locations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of General Orthopaedics NP/PA experience.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinical practice with adults and pediatrics.
• Clinical skills include injections, splinting and casting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients needing urgent orthopaedic care, including post-op issues.
• Coordinate care: triage, exams, documentation, orders, labs and imaging.
• Formulate diagnoses and treatment plans with patient understanding.
• Educate learners rotating in the department and urgent care.
