Independent Organic Inspector — Contract Role

Job summary

MOSA is seeking experienced organic inspectors to conduct inspections in the United States as independent contractors. Inspectors typically operate with their own business expenses and must complete inspections per year, including annual, additional, and expedited requests.

Candidates should have IOIA-aligned training and substantial field experience, and be able to inspect electronically. Openings exist in multiple states with encouragement to submit resumes for other regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2,000 hours of experience and/or education in agriculture, food processing, and/or organic industry experience.
• Minimum of 50 hours of Inspection experience and/or training, including field training.
• Experienced inspectors must submit a copy of their most recent field evaluation, and redacted copies of relevant inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections in assigned area/region as an independent contractor.
• Manage business expenses and reporting to MOSA as required.
• Inspect electronically and coordinate with MOSA client files.
